Welcome back everybody! Hope you had a great spring break. A lot has happened over the last couple of months for the Cyclone Battalion. We passed our formal inspection with a score of 98%! That’s the top ten percent in the nation; great job everybody! Also, drill team has started and we are currently in the middle of our drill season. There will be no drill meet this weekend. The next drill meet will be on April 6th at East High School. As for rifle team, the New Shooter League has been outstanding so far this year, being 5-2 in their season. The season average is 949.86 as a team. The best match they had was against Earl Warren AFJROTC, beating them by almost 100 points. Right now, they are sitting at 10th in the nation as a team, so congratulate the Rifle Team members on the New Shooters League for their hard work so far. May 3rd will be our end-of-the-year award ceremony and field day! You’ll get more information on that as it gets closer. Have a great rest of the week, Cyclone Battalion!
Welcome to another amazing week of school! First off, congratulations to the Pueblo West volleyball team for winning regionals and advancing to state. In addition, our football is the number 4 seed and will be playing a home state playoff game this weekend. This week is going to be a very busy week for the Cyclone Battalion as it is Veteran’s Day on Saturday. The battalion will once again support the Pueblo Chamber of Commerce Veteran’s Day Parade on Saturday, 11 November. All cadets need to meet in front of the Union Depot at 0830. 1SG Dilcher will provide breakfast burritos and donuts for breakfast. Those helping out with the Rotary Flag project need to meet at the high school at 0545. Please bring your uniform to change into after we finish as we will be going straight to the parade after delivering the flags. Lastly, great job at the Halloween at the mall last week (see picture below). We received numerous compliments from the YMCA staff as well as parents attending.

The Cyclone Battalion had another busy week at our great school last week. On Wednesday, we conducted our Cadet of the Month board for October with PFC Lynn from Foxtrot taking home the honors. On Friday, we were busy at the football game against Centennial with myriad events taking place. Although the air temperature was chilly, the Color Guard did not skip a beat and presented the Colors in its usual outstanding fashion. We also supported the team with our first ever Push-Up Squad doing push-ups after each score and we even had Principal James help us out! (see picture below) Lastly, we ran the concessions with volunteer support from over 20 cadets. Thanks to everyone who helped make the night a success both on and off the football field! On Saturday, our Rifle Team competed at the Home of Heroes Rifle Tournament with Zoe Ellis placing 1 st in the New Shooter category and placing 9 th overall out of
over 120 shooters. Way to go Zoe! With the events listed below, the next two weeks promise to be keep us busy!
